A String and a Prayer: Casey can be hard on equipment. After doing a little jump he discovered that his rear brake pads had fallen out leaving him with no rear brakes. In mountain biking that's a recipe for disaster. A search turned up the two errant pads, but not the pin that held them in place. Beverley started immediately brainstorming for a pin substitute. The only idea she could come up with was her shoe lace. Her engineer husband took a liking to the idea and cut off a piece.
