Wednesday, Day 5 - Mona wanted to see Grand Central Station so we went there and made a few “we were there” pics, then headed home. There was a storm working on the outside but we didn’t have to get out until we got off the subway near our apartment. Mona had packed rain ponchos so there was no problem.

After supper at Aunt Maude’s again, I bought a genuine Harlem umbrella from a little neighborhood store and we took the subway one stop south to Blockbuster. On the ride south, a couple of women and a guy all in black t-shirts got on the train and started preaching about the need for Communist revolution in the country. The woman was so loud and into her message we both had to suppress grins.

Through the miracle of computers, the capitalist giant aptly named, Blockbuster, still had our info from the last time we visited a Blockbuster in Crowley 5 years ago. The rest of the evening was spent with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. - Photo by Stan Ford
