Sunday, Day 2 - Next was Little Italy for an Italian meal like we've never had before. Down the street, supper was topped off with homemade chocolate hazel nut gelato.
The trip back to Harlem was trial by subway. The subway platform was very hot. We stood for 20 or 30 minutes waiting for our train which didn't come. We finally sat down on a bench and saw a poster telling that for the weekend the lines were switched around because of some maintenance. Our train wasn't coming. We eventually caught another train which dropped us 13 blocks from the apartment instead of 3. It was already late (10:45) and we were still a little nervous about being in NYC and in Harlem. Whatever fears we had relaxed as we enjoyed a pleasant stroll in a cool, light rain through the beautiful neighborhood. - Photo by our waiter
