Tuesday, July 28, 2009, Day 4 - This morning we rode the subway to Central Park, then hiked across the park to the Metropolitan Museum. On the way though the park we stopped for a self portrait on one of the granite boulders. We remembered from our Alaska trip that the boulders are "glacial erratics." The boulders were picked up by the glacier that carved out the local terrain and deposited them where they lie today. The camera is clamped to a tree limb by my new flexible leg tripod. - Photo by Stan Ford
