Tuesday, Day 4 - After an excellent sandwich lunch in the museum cafeteria, we went outside to view the street art. Some of the art was original and all of it was dirt cheap. We picked up a clever piece that is a portrait of a Picasso like face, painted over a Manhattan subway map. Since that map is an iconic symbol of our journey here, it became irresistible. When we asked, the man selling us the print told us he is the artist. We got him to sign the mat on our print. As we walked away, I could see Virginia drooling over the print. So, even though we are buying gifts for only the grandkids, we went back and got her a copy. - Photo by Stan Ford
