Wednesday, July 29, 2009, Day 5 - Wednesday, we decided to eat lunch from one of the street vendors. The gyros we both bought were made in front of us. It took the prize for the best sandwich, and cheapest meal: $4 each. Ironically, we got our cheap meal on Wall Street next to the NY Stock Exchange. Across the street from the NYSE is Federal Hall, a museum in the building where the entire federal government was located when Washington was president. He took his oath of office on the steps where we ate. Mona says the oath was on that site, not the steps, but my version makes a better story. - Photo by accomodating tourist
